About This Home

This design and construction of this home is focused on creating a very private and relaxed feeling by making use of as much exterior living space as possible. This lot is tucked away in the densly wooded section of The Estates and enjoys beautiful views of the Pacific and the silohuete of Costa Rica to the south.

As you enter the foyer, you are greeted by an roomy split-level staircase which either takes you downstairs to the master and guest bedrooms and their respective full baths or upstairs which leads to the kitchen, dining and living room space.

In the downstairs, a hallway, branching off from the bedrooms, leads you to the laundry room and garage. The downtairs entryway, which seperates the master from the guest room, has a set of double sliding glass doors which take you outside to the covered porch, pool and terraza.

The floor plan of the upstairs if very open with continuous vaulted ceilings throughout. The kitchen will boast polished concrete counters with small stone inlays, a large cast-iron sink and stainless steel appliances. A half bath provides functional use for visitors and the owner alike, while the small living provides a place to relax from the outdoors of the rest of the house.

Double and triple, high-end aluminum, sliding glass doors blanket the West-facing, downstair and upstair walls to allow a great deal of light enter the house, while the covered downstairs porch and upstairs balcony prevent direct sunlight from heating the interior of the house.

The second floor also boasts a very large un-covered patio above the garage which will have a built-in grill and vine covered pergola for some shade. A small bar top wraps around the West side of the patio and provides a perfect place to enjoy a cocktail while the sun goes down.

A curved exterior staircase leads you down from the patio to the pool terrace and pool. This not only looks beautiful, but integrates balance to the house. The pool is about 4.5 feet deep and has a shallow lounge area which is separated from the rest of the pool by stone steps across the surface.

A spiral staircase will lead from the middle of the second floor balcony, through the roof and up to a 3rd level look-out and star gazing tower. Low-level, indirect lighting on the walls here will provide enough light when needed, but not diminish the view at night.

This house is sure to be a wonderful place to enjoy.

Tucked away in the private and densly wooded section of The Estates, this home encompasses a great deal of outdoor living space. The multi-level design, combined with a various blend of finishes, creates a very open and relaxed environment.
